| AGENDA |
|
| Cross-file patent searching |
STN offers a large number of value-added and primary databases with different coverage in countries, timeliness and publication types and it provides the instruments to explore this information. In this presentation we show how to retrieve complete and comprehensive answer sets in a patent multi-file environment without duplicates or lost answers. top |
| Legal status - A case study |
Legal status is a vital but often overlooked aspect of intellectual property assets. Who actually owns the rights to the invention? How long is the remaining life span? What is the scope of the coverage? These questions can only be determined by investigating a document's legal status. This talk will present several scenarios where legal status information found on STN will prove to be invaluable in determining what a company might actually own. This presentation will also illustrate the unique legal status categories of STN, which help to decrypt large amounts of legal status data. top |
| Marpat |
The new Marpat Display enhancements are presented. The structure assembly now with Marpat displays reduces time users must invest in analyzing and post-processing results. It makes MARPAT easier for new users to learn and it improves the usability of MARPAT results for decision makers that receive them after the search. New SET commands and new displays are discussed. top |
