Een nieuw updateveld is beschikbaar voor SDI's in de CAS database.
- UPIT: Record is geupdate met nieuwe CAS RN
Deze update-code kan ook gebruikt worden in "SMARTracker" SDI's.
CA/CAPLUS, CASREACT
DE CA/CAPLUS en CASREACT databases worden uitgebreid met de "Wiley Reaction Collections". Het gaat hierbij om de volgende drie collecties:
- EROS: Encyclopedia of Reagents for Organic Synthesis
- Organic Syntheses
- Organic Reactions
CA/CAPLUS
Het opnemen van profetische structuren is verder uitgebreid met Japanstalige "basic patents". Dit is een toevoeging van de opname van profetische structuren uit Engels-, Duits- en Frans-talige "basic patents".

EMBASE, EMBAL
EMBASE en EMBAL zijn verrijkt met twee nieuwe velden:
- ST: Supplementary Term, ongecontroleerde termen die toegevoegd zijn door de auteur(s).
- PB: Publisher, naam en adres van de uitgever.
In beide velden kan gezocht worden en deze informatie kan ook getoond worden met het DISPLAY commando.
IFICLS
IFICLS is verrijkt met het "Super Search Field", PASS: Patent Assignee.
In dit veld zijn opgenomen:
- PA, Patent Assignee
- PAO, Patent Assignee, Original
- RAC, Reassignment Company
WPIDS, WPINDEX, WPIX
De dekking van Chinese en Koreaanse octrooien in deze drie databases is vergroot. Zie hieronder de berichtgeving van STN:
Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) on STN (WPIDS, WPINDEX, and WPIX) now includes records for Utility Model Registration documents from the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO) beginning with documents published on October 3, 2007. In addition:
- DWPI deep indexing is now available for Invention Patents and Utility Model records in chemistry- and pharma-related classification sections (A, B, C, D, and E), published from January 2, 2008, to the present
- English translations of claims in Invention Patents (Unexamined Applications) and Utility Models published from July 9, 2008, to the present are now searchable and displayable
WPIDS, WPINDEX, and WPIX also now include records for Utility Models from the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) beginning with documents published in January 2008. These records include full DWPI value-add, including DWPI titles, abstracts, manual coding, and deep indexing for records with significant chemistry content. Additional enhancements for KIPO documents published from January 2008 to the present include:
- Full DWPI value-add for Unexamined and Examined Applications identified as basics, including deep indexing for records in chemistry-related classification sections (A, B, C, and E)
- Searchable and displayable English translations of claims in Unexamined and Examined Applications and Utility Models in the DWPI patent family
- English translations of author, title, and abstract for patents in the DWPI patent family
- Authors, titles, and abstracts included in DWPI First View (WPIFV)
