De TU Delft heeft aangegeven te stoppen met het leveren van Full Text documenten aan commerciële organisaties per 1 januari 2009. Mogelijk treft dit ook uw organisatie.

Om in de vraag naar Full Text documenten te voorzien, biedt FIZ Karlsruhe hiervoor FIZ AutoDoc aan, hetgeen ondersteund wordt door COBIDOC BV.

FIZ AutoDoc is een Document Delivery System met de volgende mogelijkheden:

verscheidene bestelmogelijkheden (handmatig en koppeling aan STN en SciFinder)

STN AnaVist is verder uitgebreid met de database EPFULL. Onderstaand de belangrijkste gegevens over deze uitbreiding.

The EPFULL file (European Patents Full Text) has been integrated into STN's powerful interactive analysis and visualization software STN AnaVist.

In addition to the value-added databases, CAplusSM and Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPISM), STN AnaVist now permits analysis and visualization of an extensive range of patent full text data from PCTFULL, USPATFULL, and EPFULL.

EPFULL covers bibliographic data and abstracts for applications and granted patents published by the European Patent Office (EPO) from 1978 onwards. Full text information is present for applications (A documents) published since 1987 and for granted patents (B documents) published after 1991. EPFULL has predominantly English content. Applications can be filed in one of the three EPO languages English, German and French, but more than 70 % of all EPO applications are published in English. In addition titles for all documents are present in all three languages, and English translations for German and French abstracts are almost always available. For all granted patents claims are provided in English, German and French.

EPFULL is a dynamic file. Bibliographic data in EPFULL, e.g. assignee, agent or titles, are updated constantly and hence represent the most current version.

STN® AnaVistTM answers the broad question of "What's out there?" about sci-tech and patent-oriented information. STN AnaVist enables easy, dynamic visualization and analysis of that information, and supports the interpretation of large amounts of data in innovative ways.

The addition of EPFULL complements the patent full-text coverage (US, PCT, EP). From a product marketing point of view, STN AnaVist is now coherent with respect to content and functionality.

To analyze and visualize EPFULL content in STN AnaVist, use STN Express®, Version 8.2 or higher, to create an answer set that includes EPFULL documents. Then use the Save for STN AnaVist wizard to create an .xta file for import into STN AnaVist. Or, create your answer set with STN® on the WebSM and use the new STN AnaVist Assistant which will become available with the EPFULL release.

Naast de toevoeging van de EPFULL database aan STN AnaVist is het nu ook mogelijk met een nieuwe wizard om STN antwoordsets uit STN on the Web te downloaden voor STN AnaVist. (Zie onderstaand bericht)

Release of the new STN® AnaVistTM Assistant will coincide with the enhancement of STN AnaVist with database content from EPFULL (details about the STN AnaVist enhancement are available in a separate rollout from FIZ Karlsruhe). The assistant will be available in the left-hand navigation pane in STN on the Web.

The updated CAS RegistrySM BLAST® plug-in will be available for download via the Get Sequence Plug-in link in the left-hand navigation pane in STN on the Web.

REGISTRY

CAS REGISTRY ontsluit nu ook geselecteerde verbindingen uit web-based collecties. Door deze uitbreiding zal de CAS Registry database dus meer verbindingen zonder referenties ontsluiten. (Zie onderstaand bericht)

CAS is committed to maintaining the CAS REGISTRY as the authoritative information collection of reputably disclosed chemical substance information.

During the past year, CAS has expanded the sources from which it draws substances and substance information to include selected substance collections on the web. For these substances, the Source of Registration (/SR) field displays the term Other Sources with the primary source listed directly below.

Als betrouwbare informatie aanbieder stelt de Chemical Abstracts Service u in staat om via een RSS feed op de hoogte te blijven van ontwikkelingen, nieuws en updates bij CAS.

De RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed van CAS is gebaseerd op de RSS 2.0 specification.
